Vaccination rollout support: Portuguese-speaking volunteers (and speakers of other languages) @masscovidvaxhelp

Soon all adults in Massachusetts will be eligible to receive vaccinations. Help is needed to help set up appointments for Portuguese speakers and speakers of other languages. Here’s a message from Massachusetts Covid Vaccination Help:

The COVID vaccine rollout in Massachusetts, as in so much of the country, has been mis-managed. The process to find and successfully book an appointment is confusing and often incredibly frustrating, even for those who are technologically savvy. It requires lots of things that many struggle with such as typing incredibly quickly, navigating multiple websites in parallel, uploading information. For many, the barriers are just too great to secure an appointment, and this is particularly true for those who are the greatest risk of death or hospitalization due to COVID.

We want to support as many eligible MA residents in booking COVID vaccine appointments as possible, and particularly those who are disproportionately disadvantaged by the current system. We know the challenges and we’re up to them.
